Imagine curling up with your favorite book or gently rocking your sweet baby to sleep—this antique rocking chair was made for those quiet moments.

Handmade over 120 years ago from solid quartersawn tiger oak, it features bold, fiery grain and a rich patina that only time can create. The carved figural heads on each arm were hand chiseled, adding rare character and old-world charm you simply can’t find in modern pieces. This wasn’t a factory piece. It was made with care, passed down through generations, and last belonged to a schoolteacher in upstate New York who kept it by the hearth in her library.

We’ve reupholstered the seat in a soft blue leopard fabric that adds a playful, modern touch to the classic frame. This antique rocking chair sits comfortably, glides smoothly and silently, and was built to cradle the body with ease.

This is the kind of piece that adds warmth, personality, and real history to a home. And once it’s gone, it’s gone.
