Grand Chinese Famille Rose Canton Floor Vase | 24" Hand Painted Porcelain with Gilt Foo Dog Handles

This is the kind of piece that quietly transforms a room the moment it’s placed — the finishing touch that makes a space feel collected, layered, and lived-in rather than decorated.
A grand Chinese famille rose Canton floor vase, richly hand-painted with garden florals and courtly scenes and finished with sculptural gilt foo dog handles that catch the light beautifully from every angle. The porcelain has a satisfying weight and presence, substantial enough to anchor an entryway, fireplace, or console while still feeling elegant and refined.
Each panel was painted by hand in traditional enamel colors with raised gilt detailing, giving the surface depth, warmth, and the gentle irregularities that make vintage porcelain feel alive and authentic. Crafted in the mid-20th century, circa 1940s–1950s — now roughly 70–80 years old — it carries the quiet character only time can create. Decorative porcelains of this scale and quality are becoming increasingly difficult to source, especially examples with intact mounts and strong color like this.
The underside bears a glazed “5” kiln or workshop mark, typical of export production of the period and consistent with its age.
Excellent vintage condition with light, age-appropriate wear and a faint glaze line (last photo) common to large kiln-fired porcelain. Structurally sound and displays beautifully.
White-glove, in-home delivery included. Professionally packed and transported with specialty care.
