Petite Antique Oak Slant-Front Secretary Ladies Desk with Beveled Mirror & Ram’s-Head Carving
Couldn't load pickup availability
A little writing retreat with remarkable character. This petite antique oak secretary brings warm wood grain, a beautifully shaped beveled mirror, and graceful cabriole legs to a bedroom corner, living room, or small study—without requiring a room of its own.
Its distinguishing feature is the paired ram’s-head carving: curled horns and bearded faces flow into scrolling acanthus foliage, creating an almost heart-shaped composition. This Renaissance-inspired ornament gives the desk a romantic, storybook quality.
Estimated to date to the early 20th century, circa 1900–1920. Lower the slant front to reveal a writing surface, pigeonholes, and two small interior drawers—a lovely place for correspondence, journaling, or planning the day. A lower drawer provides additional storage, and the front closes to tuck everything neatly away.
